Default swapping pistons even worth it?

what up guys. i have a gsr with roughly 60k on it that i picked up off a buddy. its bone stock and im looking to use it as a replacement for the deathly ill LS thats in my integra atm. the head is already off so i was thinking that i want to bump up the compression a little, plus new rings never hurt. just wondering should i shell out the money for a set of p73-00 pistons and is it a really noticeable difference from the gsrs 10.1 comp?
moneys a little tight right now and i would rather not throw it at my motor for something i wont even notice.

it's not as simple as just swapping pistons. **** starts adding up quick.

I think it'd cost way more than it's worth. I know the pistons you're talking about are the 11.1 compression, but I ended up having to replace my b18c1 with a jdm b18c; which has pistons with a 10.6:1 compression ratio. Supposedly that results in 190hp over the usdm which has 180. I couldn't tell any difference.

Idk what those pistons would go for, but wouldn't you have to have your block honed when you replaced them? And labor for tearing it all down and putting it back together would be expensive, unless you're doing it yourself.

I don't think 20hp is worth that much money

p73-00 pistons = 11.59:1 compression using a oem 3-layer h/g on a b18c1.

You'll notice little difference with the compression bump. Headwork w/ that compression is where its @.

I thought the p73-00 were 11.1:1?

Depends what motor they are in. In a itr those pistons net 11.1:1.

Use this compression calculator and plug in b18c/1 into all the slots, but select p73-00 for the piston slot.

Oh, I see. That's a bigger compression jump than I thought then. I still don't think it'd be worth the money though, unless op is doing a whole rebuild but what I got out of it was he just wanted to do pistons and rings

I wanted to just swap the pistons. Rings were on my list before I throw it in as well. I'm looking to get some gains where I can but reliability is my main concern. I can get them for around 200 bucks, plus the rings. Im planning on staying na
