Default It was the Spark Plugs!

The car runs great now, just by changing the spark plugs! I had heard before that NGK plugs were the way to go with Hondas, I've had 10. Bosch Platinum plugs have acted good in my cars until now.

Car: 2003 Odyssey w/184,000 miles
Problem: Sluggish and coughs under hard acceleration
Signs: CEL comes on and code reader says intermittant misfire
Likely Causes: Bad Coil Pack, EGR blocked, or PCM fried

Disconnecting one coil pack at a time, they all seemed to make the engine run worse.
Pulled EGR and cleaned it, it didn't look clogged.
Pulled one plug, the gap looked a little big - within gap range.
"Let's replace the plugs, it's probably about time anyway!"

Changed them with NGK plugs and it was like driving a different car. Took it back to AutoZone where my buddy cancelled the warning code light and he said, "Yeah, you got to use NGKs in Hondas!"

I have had cars run 100% better on plugs that look ten times worse. Don't be deceived by how they look.

I've encountered this problem so many times at the dealership. Nobody believes me when I say that aftermarket plugs can cause running problems. Aftermarket wires and distributors too. But when I change them out and put OEM NGK's in everything is fine again. Bosch is the WORST!
