Default Toyota 2AZFE AEM Issues

I'm currently in the middle of trying to start this toyota engine. The engine is in a '07 Scion TC.
The car is running AEM 6050 Series 2 box. I can see that the car has the timing settings all screwed up. The box was supposed to come with a basemap, well, it didn't. What I'm basically trying to do is, get the car running and take it to the tuner. I just want to see it start so that I can troubleshoot any mechanical issues, if any.

The engine rpm go from 0rpm to 600rpm and constantly gets timing and sync errors.

What I know so far:
-The crankshaft has 36 minus 2 teeth
-The cam has 3 teeth for the cam sensor
-Has coil on plug set-up from the factory

Where do I input this information?

I'm hoping that the tuning gurus can help on this one. I would be forever in your debt lol
Thanks in advance.

the 30-6050 boxes are for OBD2 hondas which run mag sensors on the distributor.

Are your cam and crank sensors mag as well?

Im pretty sure you would have to go in and change the jumpers (like we do when switching to a T1 cam/crank trigger or AEM EPM) in the AEM to switch that setting, but you would have to call AEM on that...best bet, call AEM and speak to Henry.

I see.
I'll try to get a hold of Henry.
We're hoping to get the car to you next week lol.
Thanks Chris.

First question is who sold you the 30-6050? Why did they say it came with a base map for the Scion when it is for a Honda? Who did the wiring in the vehicle or did someone make a jumper harness? Give me some more info and hopefully I can help you out or just call Henry.

I purchased the 6050 from Dezod Motorsports along with a jumper harness. They informed me the box is "modified" to work with my vehicle.

With the following settings I have the car cranking and reading a steady 220 RPMs

If I change the "Sync Teeth" setting to 0 the car will fire up run for a second with some hiccups then die. It will still show the timing & sync errors.
Of course Stat Sync'd is still OFF.

I have a datalog I can email as well.

I will try to get a hold of Henry tomorrow.

Thanks in advance.

Sync teeth to 0 will put the car in batch fire mode basically...

Did you get this sorted yet? Did setting the sync teeth to 3 work better?

Nope havent made any progress. Spent a lot of time on it yesterday.
Got the timing syncd up and spot on as well.

Changing the sync teeth to 3 did not seem to make any difference.

Here are my current settings and my cam/crank wheels.

Just sent the EMS back to Dezod for inspection and maybe a few changes.

Will see what happens when I get it back next week.

Sent the ecu back to dezod and the resistors for the cam and crank signal were changed.
Got the ecu back and the car fired right up.
Heading to xenocron Friday morning for a tune.
