Default Crack in a6 block? Options?

In the picture below is a crack in a a6 block I have along where the middle main cap is. Would it be safe to run? Or is it trash?

im sure if you drilled both ends of the crack , so it wont crack anymore then weld it up, and somehow machine it flat it would probally be okay .. but finding a shop to do all this would prolly cost more than finding another block..
