4th gen posible earth fault???
The car in question is a JDM 1995 4th gen bb4 vtec with lsd gearbox.
Over the last week or 2 my speedometer has been just outright refusing to work. Also in conjunction with this the check gearbox light has been tripping after ten mins of driving.
Ive been over the gearbox and found nothing at fault, smells ok, no heat or sleaks anywhere. Can only assume its the speedometer not working thats tripping the check light.
Is there any particular part i should be looking at regarding the speedometer's signal feed?
Ive located the mph/kmh converter box and all the wiring is as it should be.
Any help on this would be fantastic.

Just googled vss and know what im looking for now.
Does anyone know if the vss sensor is used on any other Honda models? Might grab a couple from the local breakers just to check its the sensor at fault,

Im an idiot... Would the vss sensor on my 1995 manual geabox be the same as the one on my old 1992 f22b prelude's auto box? Both look the same, almost triangular plate with 3 screws securing it and a black 3 pin connector.
You can check part numbers on hondaautomotiveparts.com (for example), but yeah there should be many cars/transmissions that use the same VSS.
Just found this... Its wired in between the vss and the rest of the loom. The plug goes onto the vss.
Any ideas what it is? Or does? Would like to know what it is before buying a new sensor, just in case...
