Icon3 Motor mount or Axle ?

Ok guys i'm facing this weird issue with the car ever since i installed new clutch. Engine (or car ?) bounces like hell when i lift the clutch and press accelerator (parking etc). It's quite severe actually. Entire dashboard and all parts shake! once the car is running, i can't feel anything. But whenever i downshift or so, it vibrates a lot. Also, sometimes if i try to launch i feel like a grinding noise or something from the passenger side, which leads me to believe theres something to do with the axles aswell.

So what is it ? Axle or Mount (rear mount?) or maybe both ?

Are you sitting there just wondering or have you AT LEAST inspected the motor mounts? I don't see how it could be that all of a sudden but you should at least do a visual inspection.

You might get a clunking but not a vibration if the mounts were busted. And when they go they usually explode that gunk that they're filled with all over the place. It seems obvious to me you have issues with your axles. ESPECIALLY if you just installed a new clutch.

Yes it's clunking. Couldn't think of the word lol hence i wrote vibration. It's like engine literally stomps the car. Also, i think i have seen some weird fluid-like **** all over the bar at the back. I guess that means my rear mounts effed ?

CV boot could be torn shooting grease everywhere explaining all the gunk on the firewall, but as far as the whole car shaking im not 100 percent.

Do a visual inspection on your mounts like he said, and check your cv boots, and replace if you have the funds its about 120 for two new axles at the store, or I have some for sale lol.

Its your mounts dude, especially if you installed a "more than stock" clutch, it can chatter like crazy if you have bad mounts, even if they aren't busted but just super worn it can still happen. I have had some pretty **** axles before and they never caused that to happen but bad motor mounts will do it every time without a doubt. make sure that the mounts are also all bolted down tightly as you just removed the tranny side and t bracket mount to replace your clutch, ive had them come loose on me after doing a clutch before.

Mounts cause grinding noises? If so that would be a first for me.
