stripped iac bolt...not the head
so i was looking over my car trying to figure out the idle problem when i noticed that one of my iac mounts is stripped.
not the bolt but the place where the bolt threads.
i was hoping a helicoil would fix it. if it would what size do i need?
do i just screw it in?
i have never used a helicoil before so i dont know how they work.

I don't know off the top of my head what the pitch is, but helicoil isn't that bad, the hard part will just be getting to it, you're probably going to have to take the IM off, in fact, I think that's the only way you'd be able to get to it.
Edit: no, usually can't just screw it in, gotta drill it out first and stuff

thanks for reply....but luckily the jackson racing s-tube was set up for both styles of iacv. so i put in a different one and it lined up with the non striped holes. was pretty lucky with that.
