Default Turbo D16Z6 - randomly shuts off at around 3000-3100 rpm

Greetings,
I just bought a civic and Im having a rather odd problem Im hoping someone one this forum can help me out with. The car will randomly shut off at around 3000-3100 rpm.

Background on car-
Turbo D16
Weisco Pistons
Eagle Rods
Omni Power 4 bar map sensor
255lph Walboro Fuel pump
NGK Bkr7e gapped at .025
Brand new non stock wires
RC 750cc injectors
Tuned on chrome
Garrett Turbo (not positive on size though)
Skunk 2 intake manifold

When the car shuts off, theres no pre-warning, it will just die, then suddenly kick back on like nothing at all happened. Right before its started dying I've noticed that it puffs a little black smoke cloud out. The AEM af gauge doesnt read anything odd initially, around 14.6-14.7. Typically it will start right back up on its own at about 2000rpm if left in gear. Sometimes though it wont restart and you have to sit and crank and crank. When it does that the A/F gauge reads 10.0, and some times it will start up for a second like that and sounds just like a subaru idling. If you give it any throttle input it will die though. After it gets done with that game (typically 30-45 seconds) it will start right up and has no issue. I have found that if Im not driving it hard (keeping around 2000-3000 rpm partial throttle) it will do it almost every time, or if its been sitting at a stop light for a bit. Is this a sign that my tune is off or that my injectors are too large? I know it doesnt like to warm start, and Im assuming my air intake sensor is to blame for that. Could that also cause its "flooding" effect?

Have started to also notice that below a half tank of fuel on a hill it will do this everytime. I pulled the fuel pump out and it looks like its installed exactly the same way the write-ups online have them with regards to the sock sitting on the bottom of the fuel tank flat along it.

At one point the car did have a Directed brand alarm but someone pulled the "brain" part out of it and left all the wiring behind.

I can try to be more descriptive if need be in certain areas, like I said first honda so dont know a whole lot about it.

Thank you, I apologize for that

On a side note, the cars got BKR7E plugs gapped .025. Is that gap too large for the car? Or is the heat range way out? Cars running between 16-20psi depending on boost level.

black smoke means unburned fuel and if your running 16 or 20 psi then make sure you have a tune for that. If you don't then your getting to much air or to much fuel and you ecu can handle the difference. On turbo cars 14.x is not right it should be between 10.8 and 12is if I remember correctly 14.7 is normal atmospheric pressure and thts what N/A cars run on since were not adding any pressure it seems like you just need a better tune.

14.7 is stoic. You should be getting that consistently OUT of boost. 10 is extremely rich. Is it actually TUNED on <CROME> or is it a basemap?

Yes sir, it was tuned on chrome to my knowledge (at least thats what I paid for!). I spoke to a friend regarding the car and how when its hot out the car runs flawless. He suggested the main relay may have some cold solder joints in there broken. Sure enough 3 of them were bad, the 2 "normal" ones to fail and 1 additional. I ran a new bead of solder on them. Will try driving the car later this week. Just waiting for this hellaciously horrible pollen to go away.

Thank you guys for all your help thus far.

Turns out the MAP sensor was wigging out and going from 20in of vac to 30psi just idling there. Put a new one in and appears to have fixed the problem.
