okay so i just bought a 95 4 door automatic civic with just over 200k on it...car runs good...idles kinda high around 1500 rpms...i plan on using this as my daily cause of gas is good on this car...i drive 60miles a day to work...

now here is the issue it will die every once in a while...no sputtering or any thing it will just die when i come to stop...then if i put it in park and start it back up it will start right up...i have replaced the fuel pump relay and it still doing this...what could it be...any help will be greatly appreciated...thanks...

 

Is the engine dying due to a low idle speed?

Have you cleaned the IACV and FITV?

Any CEL codes?

 

No cel. I'll clean the iacv and fitv and see if it works for me. Thanks

 

okay so i cleaned the iacv and fitv and the car still dies randomly??? the distributor, cap, rotor, wires, plugs, fuel pump, and fuel pump relay have all been replaced with brand new parts....

could it be a dirty fuel filter or bad fpr??? those are next on my list to replace...what is the problem???thanks...

Try cleaning the throttle. If that doesn't help try adjusting the throttle it might be off. Since you say your cars idle is off it could just be that.
