Default Size difference between 6262 & 6268

Good evening gents,

A buddy of mine currently runs a 6262 with a .82 A/R on his SRT-4. He just got a smokin deal on a 6768 (also .82 A/R), but we are concerned about the 6768 fitting. For those of you who don't know, the turbo sits behind the engine between the engine and fire wall. I was wondering what the overall size difference between the two turbo's is.

Specs for the turbo's is:

-"S" compressor cover 4.0" inlet/2.5" outlet

- T3 .82 A/R with 3" V-Band discharge

Any info, links, etc will be greatly appreciated.

Cool.

I guess that's all I really needed to know. Just wanted to provide as much technical info as I could. Thanks man.

if both turbos have the S cover than they are the same physical chassis and there should not be any problem.

Thanks Matt!!! As Pumpking can tell you. Not a ton of room back there.

This pic shows the 6262 on a log manifold. the car will have a new tubular manifold from CTI in the near future, but turbo will still sit in the same general area.

Just wanted to post a pic to give you all a general idea.

i'm not exactly sure where the CTI manifold seats the turbo, but i'm guessing you will definately need to 'massage' the firewall a bit to get some clearance, as the S covers make for a tight fit. a little bit of denting itll clear no problem. Just make sure there is enough clearance for when the motor rocks back/forth from motor mount movement.

I just edited the title. I just noticed I had "6268" when I meant 6768. Looks like you guys understood what I meant, not what I said!

Well the 67mm is already purchased, so It's going on the car some how!!! the fire wall will probably get a good shalacking!!

x2, make sure they're both t3's. Most 6768 are t4's so double check.

Did Just that and got the same answer. Would either need to run a 6266 or 6766. We opted for the 6266. Thank god it had not been ordered yet!!

A new turbo had to be ordered to accomidate the new turbo kit. Getting rid of the old school log manifold and going with a CTI tubular. the new turbo will have V-band discharge vice the 4 bolt.

Thanks again guys!!
