Default Car died on me. Radiator problem?

So I was driving my del sol home (20miles?) And stopped by a drive tru to get some late night munchies. After I got my food, I was getting back on the street and my car dies (Battery light turns on) I stop, put it in park and try to start it again. No luck, it cranks and wants to turn on, but doesn't make it. Tried a couple times, no success. I waited about a minute, tried it and it managed to turn on. I know I have a cracked radiator that is leaking (1 day from full to empty) could that be the reason my del sol turned off? This happened to me once about a month ago, I parked in school and it died. I went in, and 1 hour later I come out and it started without problems.

So what do you guys think? Radiators fault?

The radiator isn't going to keep your car from starting. Has the car overheated at all because of this? If so you may have a blown headgasket or worse and that may keep it from starting.

Cooling system. Charging system. How are those two systems even remotely related to one another? Go get your battery and alternator tested. Fix the damn cracked radiator.

I guess I'll go get my battery and alternator tested.

But as far as my temp gauges goes, its never been close to overheating (unless my gauge is fu'ed up)I was dry on coolant.

And a shop took a look at my HG couple months ago, they said my HG was fine.

How did they "look" at your head gasket?

Left my car overnight so they could test my HG. And for the love of everything I hope they did a compression test. Didn't bother to ask cause it was free so I bailed as soon as they said it wasn't my gasket .__.'

when you say cranks and tries, do you mean it cranks with plenty of power, or does it get weaker? You want to get the radaitor fixed soon because that could cause a major repair that you do want to pay for

Full to dry in a day? You've probably spent more money on refilling the coolant than a replacement radiator would have cost you by now.
