Default B16b -- Performer X IM vs Skunk2 Pro IM

Hello, This question could be existed already. But still I would like to know which is better before I'm bolt it on my stock b16b engine from a guy that offer me a very interesting price from a Skunk2 Pro IM + match port 70mm Throttle. Thank You

x2 especially if you're keeping the B16B stock.

The OE plenum and the TB are just fine, actually they are excellent factory pieces.

Not without a tune. Do you want to spend an additional grand just to gain MAYBE 10 horsepower?
You keep posting these questions like there is some hidden horsepower you're going to discover. You're not. YOu have been told REPEATEDLY that you either need to swap a bigger engine or boost it. You don't seem to believe anyone.

From now on you can just go ahead and buy the parts and see for yourself.

Well just wanna know what both most aftermarket IM that can do. Because my check engine light on and the code show Map sensor error. I did change an used working MAP sensor but still Engine light on. So I don't wanna headache to replace the sensor again. just straight the whole IM swap with the skunk2 +70mm im with some additional dollar.

Pick one. Then install it. Report back how it is performing.

Let me ask YOU a question. How much horsepower do "THEY" say you're supposed to make bolting this on?

IMs and TBs are usually some of the last mods to get that last bit of HP out of a built motor(cams,I/H/E, valvetrain, tune, so on).

so if you're stock or very little mods neither. or at least the small gain without a tune is minimal and not noticable.

According that guy, his skunk2 IM already port and match the oversize 70mm. there will 7-8 hp. But you can feel some difference compare to my stock CTR IM when reaching top rpm there... more responsive and louder vtec.

Then get it. Install it. Then tell us how it performed.

on a dyno mind you.
just because it works on his car doesn't mean it'll work on yours as well. which will be very little on a stock block.

Hello, Sorry for such a late update to this thread. I just install the Skunk2 Pro Series Intake Manifold Today. Actually I can't get the good deal I mention last time about Skunk2 pro IM + 70mm TB =.= The seller refuse to sell for reason. Now let's move on to what I feel after the S2 IM. Well I tested the S2 IM rev and shift at 9k Rpm. I feel that the S2 IM is slightly quicker when 6k rpm to 9k rpm if compare to my previous Type R b18cr IM. Oh yeah, The TB that i'm using is B18cr 62mm. But this S2 IM is already oversize bored and ready to support 70mm TB.The used S2 IM and bargain about 200 USD and I'm happy the result so far. If I get the 70mm TB will I get quicker?
