Default $650 91 Hatch Jumping Timing

I'm looking at a 91 Hatch with a 1.6 y8 head that keeps jumping timing. He is asking 800 but would take 650? any idea how hard of a fix this will be or how to fix it.

Its the 1.5 D15b I am assuming, those were standard. Its Manual. He says it jumping timing and hes tired of it. If it can be a simple relativity cheap fix I wanna get this for a Arron car. I miss my 90 Civic.

very hard to understand what is going on.
Jumping timing usually refers to the timing belt momentarily hopping off and skipping a few teeth.
Is this what is happening?

If so, could be relatively easy to fix with a new timing belt and tensioner.

Well I am not sure haven't looked myself yet, this is the info I have. I was thinking it could be an issue with the crank?

I would go and actually look at it yourself and stop going off of what the seller is saying......he could just be lying to you or might not even know what the hell he's talking about.

Problem is I'm not sure what to look for, I've only had a honda for 6 months.

Ask guy selling it what he means by how it is "jumping timing".

^ you can do that and base his knowledge off of his response, you can tell if someone doesn't know what they're talking about by how they respond or try explain something.....If he says it's jumping timing he 1.) doesn't know what he's talking about or 2.) he's right and doesn't know how to work on cars. If you're really interested in it you could go look at it. Put a rachet on the crank pulley bolt and rotate it counter clockwise, put it at TDC, check the marks....check the tension on the timing belt (you should have little slack, shouldn't be able to push the timing belt down and the belt wraps around your finger). When you're rotating the engine and you feel resistance, stop because the mechanical timing isn't correct...it means the pistons are at it's peak when the valves are opened.
