so i want a harness in my car but idk what i need to do...can i just use the stock mounts in my car or do i have to get the bar that runs side to side...i forgot the name of it...can anyone shed some light on this please

 

It's called a harness bar.

Ya know, "rice" all started off from doing things because it "looks cool".

There's no reason to get a harness unless you're tracking the car.

 

It's really up to you but, I don't find any need for it if you're not racing.

 

I plan on racing my hatch

 

Harnesses are the biggest pain in the *** for daily driving, you'll see very quickly how annoying they are if you're not using it for track duty. Not to mention the back seats will be useless having a big bar back there.

 

No one rides in my car. I have no back seats.

 

i had my oem belts go to ****. im using the nrg harness bar and willians 4 point harness for daily. i like it, but it does make it a pain in the *** when trying to turn around and look behind u. all in ur patients i guess

 

You can't do this piece by piece and have a safe car.

Any track is likely to fail your car for inspection unless you have the whole package:

1) Non-reclinable bucket seats
2) Harness bar + harnesses
3) Roll cage
Helmet

If you have any of the above without the others, your car is less safe than from the factory.

 

^^^this is true. before my rollcage i got turned away at a race, and i had the harness bar, harness, bucket seat, and helmet.

your local or small autox events most likely will not give you any problems with there being no roll cage, but time attack will

 

Im not doing auto x. I'm doing drags. But also my class is low.
