So my hatch has a 96 b18b1 , got a gsr tranny, pretty sure I blew a piston ring in my engine, should I go ls vtec ? And swap in a gsr bottom end I heard if u run gsr crank and piston rings it'll work ? True ? Or with a b16 head ? What's my best course of action here, I want vtec and a better engine

 

all depends on money. but if you want vtec AND a better engine, look into a new b16 or b18 longblock to swap in.

 

Either build ls vtec or get the gsr bottom end. Don't put gsr internals in the ls block
