i recently purchased a 95 Del Sol and the front bumper cover is not aligned correctly.. there are brackets in front of the head lights ... on one side the bumper is flush and pressed up against it and the other the bumper is over the top of the bracket as if it were locked onto it.. can someone tell me which way the bumper cover should be plz.... thanx

i can t get the pics to come in clear... if u have ever changed out ur headlights or had to remove them ... the brackets are the ones located on bottom front side of teh lights and keep them from being pulled out.. if that helps any...

So you bought a 95 del sol bumper, but you never told us what car it's going on - I'm assuming a 95 del sol. If it doesn't fit, return it.

yes purchased 95 with misaligned bumper... that is the piece in the pic.. does anyone know if the bumper is suppose to fit over it or up to it?

 

i tried it both ways and the fender has a huge gap when placed into the grove of the bracket and when placed over it the bumper looks sunken in where the cornerlight is...

 

in ur pic there is alot of stuff there that i dont have . like that box and bottom cover piece... could that be the issue?..

 

that box is just part of the stock intake. the bumper is supposed to go in between the headlight and the piece your talking about. do you have both of the screws that hold the bumper to the fender? that could be why it looks saggish.

 

The bumper is attached to the fender with one bolt. And the fender is also attached to a bracket by a bolt... I bent the bracket down, but no luck closing the gap. Maybe the bumper is out of shape and needs to be replaced.... I will try that next...
