I'd guess the 4 wire is an O2 sensor connection and the 2 wire is part of the AC and hasn't been installed for a while.

Take a picture of the steering wheel and see if we can guess the model and year!

^Primary O2 sensor of 96-00 Civic

There's no 2P connector with Wht/Red and Blu/Red wires in the 96-00 Civic A/C system, unless the wire colors are incorrect.

So what could it be cause the colors I said are what they are in the connector?

Can't get a clear shot of the wires cause I'm using a camera phone that sucks but I'll try.

Also can someone link me to a how to remove the alt from this car. I don't need to remove it completely just need to have some wiggle room so I can slide in the bottom bolt that apparently fell out while I was driving thanks

The CKF sensor has a 3P connector, but two of those wires are Wht/Red and Blu/Red. What engine wire harness do you have? Some Hondas have 2-wire CKF sensors.

Don't you currently have a primary O2 sensor?

Did you read my post 11? What wire harness? You may have a harness that uses a 2-wire CKF sensor.

Can you find the CKF sensor connector near the top alternator mounting bracket?

That's the CKF sensor. Have you located the plug? The CKF wires run inside the lower timing belt cover and the plug resides near the alternator bracket.

A few more questions I have what could have caused my battery to discharge? I have a viper alarm, aftermarket headunit and front n rear speakers no crazy sound system. have oem bulbs in basically eveything except for the map lights and dome lights. battery is at the most 6 months old.

Also what could cause the car to lose response in the gas pedal whike driving on thehighway. short story i drive normal for a bit then the car acts like if I took my foot off the gas but I don't. then i try to downshift to get the car to respond but the rpms go up but still no response in the pedal.

also what could cause the mph gauge to fluctuate?

sorry for all these questions im just tired of dealing with this car

The corrugated tubing encasing the CKF wires runs over the alternator bracket and under the intake manifold. The CKF connector is located below fuel injector #1 on my D16Y8.
