How difficult is engine work on a '06+ Civic?
My wife and I are going to be adding a '09 Civic EX to the stable. It's a great little car, but I popped the hood, and noticed that the base of the windshield is basically sitting on top of the valve cover. I also noticed there's a bit of wiring and such tucked between the back of the engine and the firewall, and looks tricky to get to if needed.
Anyway, just wondering if anyone had some insight into what I might be getting into down the road, and if it's as tricky as it looks.
Thanks in advance!

not as bad as youd think actually.. pop the plastic piece under your wiper arms off and you have a little more access.. on my 2009 si anyways.. when i first popped the hood i wasnt sure how youd ever do work on it.. if your experianced you can also take the front clip off and pull the engine.. if its needed..
Good to know - thanks! I haven't poked around the engine compartment much, but figured that I'd have to start doing more than oil changes and general maintenance in the coming years. I'm coming off of two overly-complicated cars, so I'm happy to have the simplicity of my EK, and hopefully this 2009 one, too.
