Default Vtec wont work

jdm B16a ,usdm p30 ecu in eg cx hatchback. CEL-22 vtec oil pressure switch. I tried bypassing a4 and d6, i also checked if all the wires had contact from the ecu to the sensor and they were all good. I ground the ground wire from the pressure switch to the vtec solenoid and still doesnt work. I reset the ecu multiple times. Vtec worked perfectly fine until i rewired it to the main harness wires from the ecu. IT was custom wired before. Im 1000% positive its wired correctly. And i made sure the wires have contact from point "A" and point "B". So i replaced the Sensor and still doesnt work. i even cleaned the solenoid with carb cleaner. This happened after i rewired it. maybe it just shorted out and the new one i picked up on craigs is bad. my luck?

This has happened to me with a starter before, on my MK3 supra. Starter went out and I bought a used one off ebay and it ended up being bad as well.

I mean if you're 100000% sure its wired right, then I would assume its a faulty switch.

Did the code go away when you put the "good" switch from CL on?

Checked oil pressure?

Is their oil in the car?

Are you sure VTEC is properly wired? If it isn't engaging, then it must be electrical issue at most.

Might be your Distributor,,,, the part inside that makes vtec engage or turn on might have got grounded out or shorted out from a lose or backwards wire (befor or after car is running)!

But if the car is fully wired correctly and the ecu works correctly when pulling codes then its most Likly just whatever code it throws ,you know!

absolutely not an electrical problem. I checked the ground and its getting a good ground. i checked the wires for complete contact from the sensor to the ecu and everything is contact. i have looked over my wiring diagram"S" lots and lots of times. positive its wired correctly. But what i dont under stand is jumping A4 and D6 didnt work o.O. still a cel for it and vtec didnt kick in.

Im not sure how my distributor has anything to do with vtec... Im pretty sure the vtec solenoid is what controls vtec. or what would be the point of it.. But my car does start up instantly every time when its cold and its kinda ruff. i know that could be my dizzy. And i never wired anything "backwards". i always check my stuff before i try it. WITH the battery unplugged first. I will have to check out my oil pressure. i believe its supposed to be around 85psi or something. Then ill check my oil pressure sensor and see if thats working correctly. i just dont understand how after i rewired it im having problems.. i even wired it back the way it was before and it still didnt work. AND AGAIN im positive i wired it correctly. Could just be the valve timing oil pressure switch.
