Powerless feeling only when raining
I have an issue with my D15b2. When it rains out the revs fall really fast, and the car feels powerless. The ignition system is about a year old and the car feels fine almost every other day. ITs only when its raining out. Any Idea on what it could be?
Also it is intermittent. Some days when it rains it feels fine, revs fall just like any other day. Then some days its really bad.
I know that whenever I step on the brakes I get a massive vibration, almost like the idle is too low. Its only with the headlights on and when its raining out. I wonder if its the alternator getting wet and causing a drag on the engine. I have no other accessories.

Could you describe you problem a little better? I don't know if it just me but I just don't understand the problem. Do you lose RPM's while steadily pressing the gas? or something...
Then when I come to a light and have my foot on the brake and on the clutch I get a heavy vibration. My steering wheel shakes etc. This happens with my lights on, if I turn off the lights I know that the vibration goes away.
I do not know if the rpms falling fast goes away when the headlights are off because it is illegal to drive without my headlights on if the wipers are going.
I hope this explains the situation a bit better.
I know when I turn my lights on my engine will dip down for a second and it'll go back to normal. Have you had your altenator tested? is it old and do you throw the battery light at all? I'd possibly get your altenator tested and check for a vacuum leak.
The car does step the idle back up when the load is detected. I do not throw a battery light, and testing the alternator might be upcoming in the near future. I am going to re-check the timing. That fixed it before from unbearable to somewhat normal.
I had a voltage tester laying around, one that you plug into the 12v outlet, and with my headlights on and other accessories, and with my foot on the brake I get the same problem. The low shaky idle. I seem to be getting a low output from the alternator. With everything off its just fine.
Now when I had my Heater fan going at full blast and turned my headlights to high beam I can hear the speed of the fan dip. And as I revved the engine a bit I heard the fan motor accelerate.
So is my alternator starting to go? Why is it when I put my foot on the brake does my idle go down a bit.
