Just picked up a 99 civic Dx hatchback 5-speed and wanted to know what kind of oil do you guys use in your D16y7?

My 94 Civic EX Project (Fully built z6 25psi)
Mobil 1 5W30 Full synthetic
Change it every 2000 miles

My 95 Civic EX Daily Driver
Mobil 1 5W30 Full synthetic
Change it every 4000 miles

Wife's 98 CRV EX
Mobil 1 5W30 Full synthetic
Change it every 4000 miles

This, and noithing but.

5qt jugs and filters go on sale all the time, so normally I will just get it when I see it on sale.

I'm a big fan of Penzoil and OEM filters.
5w30 Platinum right now in my D16Y8.

This. Except I do 3k oil changes.

 

I look for oil that's on sale. Last month NAPA had their oil (Valvoline iirc) on sale for $1.99/qt and their
silver filters for $2.99.

Yeah I used to do 3k but realized its not really worth it. Walmart usually has the best prices but auto parts stores also run good deals with a free filter included.

 

Im starting to do that too. Last two oil changes I went 4k in between.

When boosted I used to do 2k oil changes with conventional oil, again what ever is on sale.

 

Mobil 1 pure synthetic 10w40, but I'm also boosted, so YRMV.
