Default WTF. GSR hitting rev limiter at 7k

About a month ago I purchased a GSR EG that wasn't working. Got it up and running a few days after I bought it. Went to go test it out and it wouldn't go past 6k and appearantly the previous owner had the same issue. Next day I cleaned the IACV just for the hell of it and it went up to 6,5. Now it's 7k. ****'s ****ing weird. Timing is dead on. Swapped out the distributor for another one and still nothing. ECU is a virgin OBD1 p72. Motor is stock. No CEL's. Car starts up beautifully and idles great. Been going at it for a month now and I don't know whats wrong with it and don't know what else to do. Please Help.

Is the vtec working? Have you ever ha a car with vtec(do you know what it sounds like?) when the vtec is not working it will only rev till 7k. If the vtec is work I would say change your computer because something's wrong with it.
When you swap a B series into an eg you have to wire your own wires the guy could have done it wrong, if none of the above is help ful take it to a tuner shop and have them go through it, it will be worth it.
