GSR distributor question= me nub
i just got a stock 95 GSR swap into my EG, and i noticed that the distributor was pushed forward, my friends said my timing was advanced my question is ......
1.is it safe for my motor to run advanced timing?
2.any chance of piston kiss or anything harmful to the engine
3. idle between 900-1000 normal?
4. if i just push the distributor back to stock position do i have to re-time the car?

1. It is safe, but not really that effective without boost or nitrous.
2. you wont have to worry about that, since all you are doing is adjusting the spark timing, not the cam timing.
3. Eh, you can always adjust it down if it is annoying.
4. No. See #3.
