Default turbo header choices

I got my OBX Turbo header today right before work today. I fits a 1993 Honda prelude si h23a1. I was excited and open up the package to notice it is a shiny nice header but welds really are crap! I almost just wanta send this baby back now. Any suggestions on weather I should put this on, im sure it'll hold but but it don't look really the quality I expected. What company's make a better header?

those tend to crack by the waste gate placement.
best is sent it back get your refund, and look around here for some good quality ramhorns or get a log mani.

People that buy obx usually can't afford a nice ramhorn and have an ebay turbo kit.
Just look for a quality log manifold.

I am installing a turbonetics t3/t4 Turbo and tial wastegate I am using a aem wide band O2 setup along with a aem fic, 1000cc injector dynamics saturated injectors, walbro piggyback pump, fuelab regulator, etc.... So I think I got some good parts, I just don't want to have a problem with a crappy head pipe. Unless im just being a little too particular. I can't seem to find much on the net about AFI company but interested in what one looks like for the h23a1 and a price on it.

OBX is junk. A quick search on here would have told you that before you bought it.

A quality basic manifold will run you 500-600, a much nicer one 1100+.

Sounds like you need to do a little more research. Return that OBX header if you can and get a better piece. AFI has a website, and there are many other companies offering manifold fabrication.

Most places aren't going to have a H23 manifold in stock, because it isn't a popular motor to turbo, but if they off a h22 manifold, they should be able to make a h23 manifold pretty easily.

Refer me to someone who does a good work on import turbo manifolds. I live in a place where no one knows anything about imports. So I really don't know who to trust when it comes to fabing one.

It doesn't matter if you are making parts for an import, a domestic, or a washing machine. A good fabricator is a good fabricator. Just find someone who is a good welder and they will have no problem making the 4 holes in the cylinder head flow into 1 hole for the the turbo inlet.

I used to have a LoveFAB manifold for my H23 and that was excellent quality, but the price reflected that. Not a whole lot of H23 options off-the-shelf....

You know I enjoy fabricating things of all sorts myself. I am a machinist and know one in particular welder that is a frickin scientist with any welder. I do belive I will run the obx and then Fab up something in spare time. Anybody know that designs work best, and what is typical exhaust temperature at the manifold area?
