Default code 14... i think

got a 93 4 door lx(non vtec)shell. just installed a used eng/tranny(auto). after every was connected to the eng(except the exhaust system), i wanted to make sure it started and ran before i started on the tranny side. though it was loud(no exhaust) the eng idle was good(800-1000rpm) and revved good. finished on the tranny side and exhaust. now it wont stay running unless u give it throttle. and now it sounds like it has a knock. CEL is on. this is how the light flashes: 3 sec on, 3 sec off, 2 sec on followed by 4 quick flashes. i have checked the bat voltage to the iav sensor(12.1v) and ohmed out the iav(13 ohms). according to the repair manual, these are good readings. anyone have any suggestions, thanks.

Post a video of the CEL blinking. It's best not guess what code you have.

Codes 10 and 14.

Reset the ECU and run the engine briefly to see if both codes repeat.

What wire colors do you see in the IAT sensor and IACV connectors?

The bottom picture appears to be the IAT sensor. If so, the wires are correct.

If the middle picture is the EVAP purge control solenoid, then those wires are also correct.

What is the top picture? The IACV should have Yel/Blk and Grn/Wht wires.

Any signs of cut and spliced wires for the IACV?

With the key in ON(II), does the IACV Yel/Blk wire have battery voltage?

With the key in ON(II), does the IAT Red/Yel wire have 5 volts?

What's the resistance across the the two terminals of the IACV and IAT?

i'll have to recheck the voltages but i remember the resistance being within the 8-15 ohm range.

been really busy this past week and havent had time to work on this thiing till today. i took out the IAT sensor and half of the plastic tip looked to be melted exposing the wires. i replaced it and it now starts and idle, but there is a knocking noise coming from the engine and it idles very rough with lots of vibration. no CEL.
