Default no compression?

t-belt teeth stripped so im guessing timing jumped
replaced the t-belt and im more than positive i got the timing aligned
everything is at TDC, only thing a little off is the crankshaft key
it doesnt matter how many times i align that to the oil pump mark,
after installing the t-belt it manages to be off by a cm or so
im trying to do a compression test but my car sounds just like this car on youtube
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HWnMx...eature=related
im guessing i have no compression, which probably means the timing is not right?
correct me is im wrong
on a side note, i think one of the two previous owners put on some aftermarket cams
since im not getting any compression, im thinking one of the two previous owners did not put the cams on right?

Do the damn test. being off timing will not or should not affect cylinder compression.

well like i stated, every time i try to start it up it does the same thing the car on the ytube clip does
and there is absolutely no compression in either cylinder

So it's not that it has NO compression it's just that you can't check it.
Looks like you're pulling the head.

haha its seems that way to me
im thinking that the previous owner who replaced the cams with aftermarket cams
probably jus slapped those cams on without even making sure they are at TDC
because when my t-belt got stuck, the only think rotating was the crankshaft
and before even taking out the t-belt, i noticed that both TDC marks on the cams were way off
in any case
is there any way to put the camshafts on TDC without looking at the camgears?

My mistake. I misread and thought you said aftermarket cam gears. I'd still pull the head to check the valves.

im planning to pull ot the head either way, i still need to find out if the valves are bent or not
which is at a high percent by now
and the cam gears are not stock
and i hope the cam shafts are stock
in any case, i jus want to know how to re-align the cam gears and shafts if the block is still good to go
