Default LS swapped EK Map issue

HAVE searched, very frustrated.

97 CX hatch, auto to manual swap, OBD1 LS stock Teg obd1 ECU, 96-98 Vtec Harness

Getting a MAP code, running VERY rich, like 175 miles to full tank. Engine and ecu pulled from my Teg with NO codes. Jumped Map straight to ECU, still a code. Checked all grounds, vacuum lines are hooked up and no leaks, timing is on. Cleaned TB, resealed and bolted back on.

Everything I can think of, and search for is right.

Only thing else is bad ECU? or could the 02 be making it throw a MAP code but not an 02 code? The 02 and ECU were perfectly fine in the Teg.

I'm stumped...

Also tested voltage and tried 2 other known good maps.

try diff TB.... or test map.... find singnal wire at your map plug... at WOT it should be around 5v and idle around 1v..

Are you sure you don't have the MAP and TPS connectors swapped?

When you say MAPs youre talking about the MAP sensor correct??
Check the voltage on the sensor, like the guy above said at idle itll be at 1v, WOT 5v.

Why the VTEC harness? I wouldve used the stock Dx harness and converted the 3 wire IACV to a 2 wire.

obviously something isn't right, both cars have the same code, and I'm sure there are more people out there that had this same issue with a swap like this. The other car is a 99 EX, kid blew his y8, we thru in an obd1 LS. Same issue, code 3, burning richer than Bill Gates.

I simple thing to try is to get a map sensor from your local junkyard from just about any civic, even accords, preludes .... any how just plug it into your harness and give it a vacuum source from the manifold some where and see if that is your problem, I can remember from my old swap days that some times the map sensor was on the firewall and it had a separate harness that went into the car, So if you did a swap that had the map sensor on the TB you would end up with two map sensor plugs one on chassis and one on engine harness, simple solution was to just give them both vacuum sources and unplug one at a time to get the light to come on to see what one the ecu was looking for. Good luck and keep at it.

OP, did you use some OBD2->OBD1 ECU wire conversion harness? I didn't see it in your posts. And what's with the 96-98 harness?

he 97 CX has a obd2a -> obd1 ecu jumper other car is a obd2b-> obd1 jumper. Both ecu's are p75, but not the same ecu. Would the MAP on the firewall have the same plug as one on the TB?

Map on the firewall was 92-95 some models such as some CX models. What is the P0XXX code specifically?

I have an obd1 ecu, how am I suppose to get Poxxx codes? I get 3 fast blinks, which indicates MAP sensor malfunction.

And I tried moving the map sensor to another vacuum source. But still nothing.

Ater reading and reading while at work, another option is compression. Seemings how when the LS was in my integra, the kid before me had like 10 quarts of oil in the car and it smoked like hell, I'm going to re-ring it as well as a new top end gasket kit. Still don't see how this would be in my buddies LS because his motor was fully re-built not to long ago...

After i decided to cut a piece of my wire so i could get to it, my MAP tests correctly, seemings how I had it unplugged when I tested it last. I get 4.99 on left wire and a little under 3 on the green/red wire.

Since it's rare to find a post that someone actually said what they did to fix the issue, I'll post my fix.

After I had gotten my ecu jumper harness, someone had spliced into it for a Vtec controller, so I traced some wires and come to fid out, when they spliced it back together they switched the MAP input and Vtec pressure switch wires around.

Thanks for everyone's help!
