Ok. 96 cx Hatch with a 98 GSR swap. OBD1 converted w/ jumper. p28 w/chrome.

ok, When I start the car on cold start, it will idle around 500rpms. once its running for a min or 2...or 5...or 10 depending on the temp outside, the car will idle up to around 900 and be steady.

Ive got a bad thermostat, so idk if that would be the issue, but if I let the car sit running after driving for a few it will get heat, and get to opp temp, and idle at 750-700 about were it was set at with the ECU.

this only happens on cold starts were the car has been sitting for more than 6 hrs. if its kinda warm after driving, like....an hour or so, it doesnt do it.


Just wondering if anyone has any ideas on what it could be. Again, the thermostat is bad, and getting replaced soon. Just wondering if it could be anything else, that way i can do it all in one shot.
