Well i bought my 1989 Honda Civic 08-02-2002
dropped it off and got a b16a installed by Phantom Motor Sports (that was Stupid) 08-17 installed NX 40 shot, still to slow, order another motor and tranny from HMO.com had to get LSD, that help the G's a little, but not enough tho
09-18 order a MaxRev kit, this kit rocks but its a very tight fit in my car.

10-09 up and running super fast

I'm sure I'm running somewhere in the high 12's or low 13's
its my first project car and its pretty bad at 4800 ft
so far the only thing that has beat me is a AWD Talon that is Super built
and he can't beat me from a roll!!

So far I'm super happy

Thats way i NEED hondata, it would suck to blow the motor up before I build it this winter, I get really good gas mileage tho 123 miles to the tank

 

my untuned AEM EMS got the same... on a completely STOCK gsr heh

 

To offer a counterpoint, I had my Hondata installed and tuned at Phantom Motorsports back in July. I have had no problems with my car. There seems to be a few people on the board who hate on that shop. I'm sure they have their reasons, but I wanted to put out a good word for the shop as well.

 

Heh after tuning I'm,up to 30 MPG driving the car hard all the time

88-91 Honda b16a1 Swap they charged me 2000 dollars to do this swap

Week one the told me that my car was running so i drove 250 miles to pick it up and my old motor was still in it, they said the they thought that i owned some crx that they didnt even have finished, duh. so i drove home it wasn't that bad i guess

but 3 weeks later they told me that it would be done in a couple of days so i told them that i would just come and get my car with a trailer and have another shop finish it. and they changed there minds it would be done in a few hours, and they would call me. The next day about noon the called and said its done bring $95 bucks and come get it.

So i get there and the tell me its $420 to pick up my car.

So i get it home and my brand new act clutch is fucked cuz they didnt ajust it right
my new dc sport header has 3 o2 sensors, Hmmm??
i have 3 loose motor mounts
and ther header is dented to hell cuz they had it sitting on the crossmember.

Hahahahaha welcome to utah. The shop I have my car in has had it there for over 3 months now. Slow *** hell. Everyday I get a different answer on the status of my car. TOday he calls and says someone stole my downpipe! Out of his shop! The labor and everything is cheaper than phantom but takes just as long if not longer. Should have had courtney build my motor in the first place. Would have been done long ago...Good luck finding a shop in Utah that is not this way. Modern garage does very good work but very expensive. Oh well you get what you pay for! We should race when my car is broken in...fully built b18c1 t3/t04e tuned with EMS!

 

Yeah i dont know were as soon as i get hondata who will tune it
