Default Turbo Oil Return Question

i tapped my oil pan on MY AP1 at the highest point of the pan right above the oil drain plug. Im using a full race sidewinder kit. will this work fine? i heard people tapping the girdle but i didnt want to do all that work, so i thought of the next best place

Tapping the girdle is the best bet, but as long as the drain line is above the highest level of oil in the pan, then that's fine. Otherwise, it could cause a backup, leading to burning oil issues.

This is how mine is done and I have had no issues. Obviously make sure the return line is completely vertical as well.

I will be tapping my timing cover....no negatives/risk of backup.
