That car does not look repairable.

Yes it does.

Mine was worse, and it was fixed.

What do you mean the kid wont reposnd to the damage? Did he not get the guys info?

Don't **** around, call a lawyer and sue his ***.

Tell your friend DON'T TOUCH THE CAR! Park it and leave it and contact insurance, consult lawyer.

I assume your friend had insurance? I hope collision? file a police report? I know in NJ it is no fault basically your insurance covers the repairs, but can go after the other guys insurance company or that person directly for the repairs.

i'm pretty sure that would be a total loss in the insurance company's eyes, as it looks like the rails are somewhat tweaked.

It isn't your job to talk to a lawyer, that's the insurance company's job. Most insurance companies let you buy the car back after it's been totaled out as well.

Its not that he doesnt want to respond, just the guys saying that it wasnt his fault, so hes basically getting blamed for it, and yeah he has insurance

OP I feel bad for your friend, but this really doesn't belong here. Your friend should have called the police when this happened and had them do an accident report. I'm not sure what, if anything can be done now.
