D16Y8 motor and 2 trans part out, Sacramento area
Like the title states I have a 1997 D16Y8 motor and trans I just pulled from my daily driver. Everything is for sale minus some things I am keeping for my new motor, like the a/c compressor, power steering setup and wiring harness.
Motor runs fine and passed smog, but...
Here is the catch, the head gasket leaked a lil bit so I took the head off and had it decked, leak checked and hot tanked at Comptech/PRS machine. When I went to put the motor back together I dropped the valve train on the ground and broke 1 V-Tec rocker arm. So at this point I am not willing to spend any more money on this motor and decided to part it out instead. All it needs is the one rocker arm and its fine.
I also have 2 transmissions, 1 is from this Civic and the other is from an EG Civic, both are EX trannies.
The 97 tranny has a bad input shaft bearing and whines when u drive it, but it shifts fine and has around 140K on it.
The EG tranny runs great and has all new seals on it, but pops out of 2nd gear when u decelerate sometimes, which from what I have read on a lot of sites is most likely from my worn out torque mounts. I do not know how many miles are on it as it was a junk yard tranny.
Also have a brand new flywheel and Exedy OEM clutch kit with less that 3000 miles on it which is how long I have had the EG tranny in my car.
Make an offer for all of it or part of it, just don't send me some rediculous price is all I ask. I will just ignore you.
Willing to trade parts for good 195-55-15 tires or good condition DC Integra front seats black or gray.
