The LS tranny isn't going to be good for NA, but if you you put a turbo on there it'd be nice.

It'll get you on the road though, it's really up to you.

Dont do it, I got that set-up now. Its not bad, but it could be alot better. If you could maybe switch out the FD to JDM 4.785 or ATS 4.9, it would be alot better. But like said above, if your going turbo it will be just fine.

I've ran alot better times then most people with full GSR's9in my area). My best time with that set-up was a 15.1 and that was only with skunk2 mani, AEM cai, ES oval(2.25pipe), and V-AFC(stock settings, vtec lower). I know people have ran faster times, but i dont know about with a LS tranny. But dont do it unless you change out the FD.

Nope, Im trying to get a 97 JDM ITR tranny. And Im also trying to get the JDM FD for it. I kinda wanna keep the 4.400 then switch out to the 4.785 and see if theres a difference.

I heard a 4.400FD in a LS, will make the gearing a little better then a GSR tranny. never calculated the gears to find out though.

I think it would be worth it. it wuld be cheaper then getting a whole noter tranny. But my synchro is gone(third)so Im just going for another... Or better et, just get a ATS 4.929FD. That has got to give you some good gearing if you want all-motor. You just gotta make sure it will fit in the Ls tranny which Im sure it will if you get all parts needed.

No problem... I think you'll need this to get it in the LS tranny.

Make sure you get the whole FD kit.

i THINK GSR's kinda suck too for N/A unless you get a new FD. I woudl focus on a SI/ITR tranny or GSR with LSD&FD. But if you can find out the ratio's with JDM or ATS FD on a LS then that should be good too. But a LSD will be good to have too... I think you can get both JDM FD&OEM LSD for around 750-800 bucks for both. But alot of people complain about the OEM LSD for drag.
