Icon3 Possible ignition barrel problem?

I have a 2.0 vtec Accord SE executive which i brought a month ago. A problem has developed with whit i believe to be the ignition barrel.

When im driving the engine just cuts out and im forced to try to pull the car over without power steering and a child in the back. I have tried to turn the car back on when it cuts out but it wont work until i come to a stop and give it a few minutes.

Anyone have any idea what this would be?

Do you have a volt meter or test light? If so, next time this happens see if you have 12v at the BLK/YEL wire going into the dist when the key is "on".....this would almost prove 100% that the electrical part of the ign switch is giving out.
