97 Civic -- Rear defrost and power lock circuits grounded
My daughters 97 civic 4 door had a battery break or blow; not sure. She had it replaced, and the next day it was dead. I found acid all under the new battery so I cleaned with baking soda. Found 11 amp draw from rear defrost circuit. I disconnected one plug on rear window, and now only 1/10th of an amp draw. I pulled all fuses one at a time, and the draw remained, so I assume this is normal. Any possible ideas?, I know there is a relay; but don't know exactly where, info says under dash / fuse panel. Also talks about a time out circuit device, but not sure if a seperate module or what. By the way, the power switch to the defrost on the dash still lights up when pressed even with wire disconnected at rear window.
I have previous post about possible blown battery, cleaned a lot of acid with backing soda from under battery. My daughters door locks don't work; since the battery failure according to her. Fuse #51 in the engine compartment is blown, and as soon as I replace it, it blows again. I know it is obviously grounded, any known areas or ideas? I did not see any acid around the fuses, only under battery.

unplugged power lock module, the fuse does not blow, I tested all individual circuits per a previous post, all test good, no wires are grounded at plug except the black ground wire as normal. I removed the module, and tested across pin 12 and 4 with ohm meter, it is connected with no resistance; so this means the module is going straight to ground. So I need to replace module; am I correct?

Not for an hour drive, I'm going to drive to Honda and give them the module; unless you have another idea. I have a 6 hour drive home, and don't really have time to drive to junk yard in the hopes they will have the 97 car. Any other suggestions. If not, then I will put back together, and she will be without door locks until I find time to go to junk yard back at home. By the way your help is very much appreciated.
