Icon2 B series short shifter question

I have a 97 sol swapped to b18b with gsr tranny and was wondering how putting a short shifter in would work or even possible?

Should be able to swap one in. I'd check out the revvo short shifters on ebay. No point spending 60+ dollars on a name brand one.. Its pretty easy to do:

-Pull out the trim pieces covering your shifter.
-Go under your car, unbolt the old shifter from the linkage.
-Unbolt the stabilizer bar from the car itself, should be two bolts, and two holding the stabilizer bushing. (4 altogether)
-Unbolt stabilizer bar from transmission.
-(I find it's easiest to drop out the entire stabilizer bar)
-Pop the new shifter in, and installation is the reverse of removal.

Word of advice, I'd look into some poly shifter bushings on ebay, they're cheap and they're a decent mod since you'll already be under there.

NO, not without modification. The bottom part is the same size but is different in width. On a serious note, short shifters are a waste of time and money. If you want a better shifting feel, get Energy Suspension bushings for the stock shifter.

It's really all about preference. Personally I like the short throw shifters better than stock. And your buddy must have been slamming some serious gears to snap a shifter..

Yep. Anything eBay isn't the best on quality but short throw is the way to go!

I like the GSR shifter as far as a low-cost, fairly easy upgrade goes. It depends on your personal preference and budget, though. You want cheap and effective, go the GSR route. You want to spend a bit more for a bit shorter throw, go aftermarket.

I got a skunk2 dual bend short shifter and energy suspension bushings in my 97 Del sol with b16. It’s no problem. I love it. Don’t get cheap shifter from eBay, it will break because it’s not good quality.

Any no name shifter off eBay or anywhere else you can get them from will be no good. Had one in my car and it snapped where the threads ended for the ****. B&M is great! I have one and love it. Find what you like and swap it in. Pretty sure the GSR shifter will work for your delsol. GL

find some friends with different short shifters and try them out. It is to your liking. I like my single bend B&M shifter because it sits low. It's to your preference. GL

Doesn't matter what setup you have. Get a short throw that fits that car. Simple as that.
