Default EG6 Help

Have a 1992 civic hatch, with a sohc ZC motor, non vtec. I dont want to swap it, i dont wanna do the mini me. Just need help getting the right cam for it, i know its the same as the d16a6 or the y4. But the ZC has more aggressive cams, anyone know the lift and duration on the d16a6 compared to the ZC cam?

What do you think this cam is supposed to do for you? In case you didn't know. Nothing.

Just want some more power out the the engine, having cams with a bigger lift might help getting more air and fuel into the cylinder, also going to get new valves springs and rockers if i can, i dont think the engine rpms get high enough for valve float but can never be to safe

Save your time and money. The money you need to spend to get more power out of that engine in a naturally aspirated state is ridiculous. These aren't old V8s where you can simply swap a cam and make tons of extra power.

haha yeah i know it was miss leading. Im no trying to get alot of power, im not drag racing it, just a little track and in the mountains, i just want a little more power, low end it has alot of power, more then i thought it would, and thats only in first and second. third is just depressing. but sense im only using it on the track and mountains its fine, dont plan on taking a turn faster then 75

Remove the motor. That's my suggestion. Why would you put an OBD-O motor in a OBD-1 chassis especially that motor? TBH, I would rather have a DX than that ZC D16 any day of the week.

^agreed, get rid of that motor unless you just want to leave it stock and save some gas.

otherwise, your cheapest bet is to swap out the long block for a D16Z6.

the other option that will give you more fun is to swap in a B18B1 (non-vtec). both are fairly cheap.

A B18b swapped hatch will WALK a ZC swapped hatch without a hitch. Been there...done that.
