Default Trunk Light Wiring

I saw a thread on here about a trunk light but searching i cant find it so dont kill me if the answer is in there....which i think it is . I got a trunk light out of a 99 civic from pick and pull to put into my 97 civic dx. It has a blue and black wire with silver dots on it. I think this one is the one that connects to the trunk to say when its open. There is a blue black wire on the trunk latch so i think i just have to splice and combine the wires but the other is red and white with silver dots. I dont see this wire in the trunk but i read somewhere its for a constant 12 volt source. Which wire in the trunk should i splice into this? Im sure theres a constant 12v for the break lights but i dont know which wire to use. Any help?
