NY Inspection issues on B18c swap...Please help
My registration is up and I can't renew bc I can't inspect my car. 97 civic cx hatch with 99 JDM B18c swap with obd2 to obd1 conversion. Obviously it won't pass bc the obd2 to obd1...so, I would like to make the car inspectable and not have to worry about changing registration every 2 years. I have a spare ecu from 99 usdm gsr, I know I have to ditch the test pipe and put on a hi flow cat for GSR (http://www.andysautosport.com/acura/...f00178896.html) and re wire the 2nd O2 sensor (it's not hooked up bc obd1 ecu doesn't require)...now here is where I need help...when I plugged in the spare ecu before obviously the CEL came on. Codes I got were p1337, p0141, p0450. I know one of them is for 2nd O2 sensor not being wired up...I think. But the others I don't know why they would come up. One had to do with Crank sensor of some sort, the other I think had to do with emissions. As long as I replace test pipe and wire up 2nd O2 that should handle one of the codes but what do I do about the others? Keep in mind I would only swap in the obd2 ecu when I need an inspection then I would go back to OBD1. Would i have to wire up a kill switch for the 2nd O2 sensor as well? Please help.
There is a was to by pass the crank position sensor by jumping wires. Go on rywire.com and I think they have a write up that tells you how to do it and what wires to jump at the ecu.
