Need Advise for 99 civic si ECU Troubles
A Daily Driver she bough used, a 99 civic SI, I-H-E And Test Pipe throws the 2ndary o2 code, catalist code b/c theres not cat on the car when she got it. I got a universal bosch o2 and wired that up and its deff not the same as the Primary. so heres the Question..
cat is between -250-500 installed
New Correct 2ndary o2 is $379. and this should resolve the problem
Or
obd2 jumper to obd1 $120.
p30 mugen spec ecu $200. and this should resolve the problem Right??
Then i can allways sell the Oem ecu, and re coop some of her money.
The car spits out black all over the bumper and tail pipe so i need to get this done soon for her..

You won't pass emissions with either a CEL, or an OBD1 ECU.
Get a cat installed....$500 for that is rape.
And get the correct O2 sensor. Im sure you can find one for less then $379.
