Have anyone ever worked with zip ties? I think they're a pretty cool look i would like to know how you guys would out holes in the bumper. I have a cracked rear bumpelr the crack is probably lets say 3 inches long and im planing to use zip ties to tie it up to make it look like stitches. help anyone?

 

Dremel or drill.

Let me clarify. Drill parallel holes. Thread zip tie through and pull tight. That's about it.

What kind of car do you have?
You may not even need to remove the rear bumper to "stitch" it up.

 

99 civic coupe, well it looks complicated to do it with it even on... drilling then stitching in the zip tie and looping it around the other hole

 

I've got a manual, if you search a bit it is easy to find an electronic manual around the webs. If you can't, I can probably post instructions tomorrow. I can't remember at the moment the difference between removal on the 98 model and the 99 model.

 

cracked my bumper, I was ****ing pist. **** stitches, **** repairing plastic parts that are a dime to a dozen. **** ***! ******!!! censored this **** lol

 

I actually really like the stitched look. Not parallel zip ties but zip ties in a "x" pattern. I've got a crack in my front bumper I was gonna zip tie in an x pattern just for shiggles.

 

not sure if it matters but i know with cracks on other mediums it is prudent to drill holes at begging and end of the crack to help reduce the chance of it spreading. if you want stitches for days than disregard aforementioned advice.

i think u could only pull it off if you owned a clean but beaten up drift car like an s14

 

http://chicaneculture.com/wp-content...ip_ties_7a.jpg i dont think this looks bad B/c it was most likely done because he drifts his car and it would be pointless to replace it with a new bumper just to have it break again.i think this makes the car look pretty battletorned up but this car got that bumper wound from racking into a wall drifting 50MPH. you need it cus you hit a mailbox or something lol jk. im sure theres better things you could hold it together with besides zipties though.
