Paint
I took my Sol over to the owner of a bodyshop who I know. He told me for all of the work to be done out the door it would cost at least 3k. He suggests that for the money I paid I should just buff and polish, but if I really want it painted to do the bodywork myself, prep it, and run it down to Maaco 45min away.
I would rather pay someone $1000 to paint it then me have to go through the hassle of painting it in my garage for the same amount. My only concern is: Can I expect a decent paint job from them that will last a good 10 years? If I got some high quality PPG or DuPont and had them spray it on? If I can be convinced, then I might just get it painted.
Another question, kind of out of the topic, but its still bugging me. Keep it Milano Red, or go for Samba Green? I feel like I'm doing something wrong by painting it another color, but Samba was my favorite color of the sols.
