have a look at your fuses
try to get a multy meter at the pump see if you have 12v

The main relay is a safety device. Don't bypass the relay. Fix the problem.

i dont plan on bypassing .. never thought of it once... and i have a mini-me d16y7 with a d16y8 head, harness and all y8 sensors .. i am running a p2p ecu .. currently waiting on a obd1 chipped ecu .. the relay is good the pump is good .. just cant seem to get power to the pump .. i checked the fuse in the box next to the pedals but everything seems to be good .. i thought it was the ecu at first but was told from many of different people that it wouldnt be the ecu no matter what .. but the ecu is where im at now

The ECU controls when the fuel pump primes by providing ground to the main relay. Check whether this ground wire is good.

Ultimately yes, but if the thermostat ground were bad, the engine would lack both spark and fuel. The OP needs to check the fuel control wire running between the main relay and ECU.

I had same issue. Have you checked the check engine light codes? Is the cel solid or does it blink a solid cel indactes bad ecu, also checking for proper voltage at map when key is on run postion is a easy way to check if ecu is good should be 5 volts if there is not yor ecu is bad. Mine had 2.4 volts
