Default skunk2 manifold vs blox manifold vs type r manifold

alright so my question for you guys is would i gain more horsepower or loose hp by going with a skunk2 intake manifold or blox intake manifold or should i just stay with my type r manifold thats on there?

is there a real difference? will wasting more cash help me when i dyno or hurt me?

im planing to throw either manifold on a b20 vtec with a 99 type r head
ctr cams
bdl cam gears
aem fuel rail 310 injectors
68 mm throttle body.

thats good power man..yea im just going to match port a 68 mm blox throttle body to the type r manifold i have already..i bought some 410 rdx injectors (whats your opinion on the injectors) and an aem fuel rail..also added an nrg fuel pressure regulator..still debating on what headers too go with! know any good headers? im runing an apex world sport full cat back exhaust system i believe its 2.5 with a resonator..

got any opinions on the resonator? alot of my buddies are telling me to get rid of it cause its gonna hurt me power wise..

No. your friends are wrong. Plus you'll have the wonderful CHiPs after you. Keep the resonator. Better sound and no loss in any midrange power.

Also, the RDX injectors are BEAUTIFUL. I wish I had done it sooner, but did it on Project "SHE" instead.

if your not concerned about smog bs like me and how loud your car is.. take all resonators off. better flow frm exhuast manifold all they way out the tip. 410cc is good size injectors. make sure you have the fuel pump as well. oem fuel rail is good for up to 500whp. so no need really. ask around idk much about it a lot of talk about it. i dnt run one. headers go big tube 4-2-1 tri y. hytech reps are good. profabs are good as well..

to your original question get the ITR ported/CNCd. not port matching.
itd help to get headwork done. since the IM makes such a small difference in the end.

if you have money a custom header. if not PLM makes some ok reps. or skunk2 alpha.

walbro 255 arent too much. out here in sac, ca 1320 performance has em $90. depends if your going to go with bigger injectors. bigger injectors then yes. if not then leave it as is. 4-1 headers always mid range. 4-2-1 top end. so its all on you.. skunk2 alpha are good. plm are decent. there is a forum tht hondatuning did on here tht had all the header and put them on all the dyno. toda skunk2 & hytech all 4-2-1 made the most power.

I always use a walbro. Even for stock replacement. The walbro kits are hard to beat price wise.

I don't think u can port out a itr manifold past 65mm so if ur going 68mm u should get a aftermarket manifold then port match. Porting is all u need on the intake side its the exhaust side u need to Polish.... port matching never hurts if u have a porting bit. Agreed warlbro for q&p agreed on fr keep u dang cats. People spend 80-150 on real high flow cat u loose nothing, but u clean the emissions up dramatically!!!! If ur racing only by all means go for 1+HP but DD get a job and buy a real HF cat.
