98 civic ex has no electrical power

Default 98 civic ex has no electrical power

car was running fine, then the dashboard began to flash and the wipers started on their own. 80 amp fuse under hood was blown. i replaced it, now i have no power to anything. 80 amp fuse is still good. can anyone help

Check whether there is voltage on both sides of the 80A fuse. Also check the other big 40A and 50A hood fuses.

Do the headlights work? Have you cleaned and tightened the battery connectors and ground wire attached to the chassis?

headlights dont work, the other fuses appear to be ok. will check for power on both sides of 80 amp tomorrow. battery and connections are clean

Be sure to clean and tighten the battery ground wire attached to the chassis. Also make sure this ground wire is neither damaged or corroded.
