alright so i have a 92 civic dx with a d16y7 swap, and im getting a cel code 43 which is the fuel supply system. something thats happening is that my car will sometimes missfire between 1700-2000rpm but after that and before its fine, but it also doesnt do it all the time. what do you think it would be i have no idea were to start because "fuel supply system" is such a broad area. injectors, fuel pump? what? what do you guys think? help me?! thanks!

yes cel 43 fuel supply system, and yes ive searched ive already gone through that thread and another one but they dont seem to have an answer. and i dont want to just start dumping money into random things that may not even be it. i wouldnt think it would be the o2 sensor mainly because why would that cause my car to misfire?

 

Measure the fuel pressure, test the FPR, and check for dirty/clogged fuel injectors.

It might also be worth checking whether unplugging the primary O2 sensor eliminates the problem.

It could be the injectors. I had some do the same same thing

 

alright so im kind of new at this, and yes ive searched but all i get is a bunch of random threads, how do i remove my injectors?

 

Remove the fuel rail.

I clean mine by hooking the injector up to a battery box at regular charge and spray carb cleaner through it. then i disconnect the injector spray sum carb cleaner in the top to hold it then taking an air hose with 30psi to it and reconnect the injector and stray it through and watch the pattern.

 

thanks for the help, but i am going to retry this tomorrow now because i have to go to work soon, and i just noticed that my far left injector (when viewing the engine) is leaking fuel, so theres another problem. hopefully ill be able to fix all of this up tomorrow

 

alright so ive got everything pulled out and, i found something in the top of only one of my injectors and i dont know what it is, or really why its there, but i took some pictures to show you guys

sorry for some reason it doesnt work for me to put the pictures on here from photobucket, but here are the links to the three pictures that i took. Its that blac "cap" type of thing in the left injector. and in the last picture i pulled it out to take a pic of the whole thing. but my question is, is what is that? is it supposed to be in there? because that is only in one of the injectors and its not in any other one.

alright nevermindi found out that its a injector fuel filter, and im missing three of them.... haha would that cause it to misfire?
