i have a jdm k20a type r motor in my rsx but it has a ep3 transmission because the previous owner was going to boost it so my question is if i get a type s transmission will i be able to use the clutch and flywheel off of the a3 on my type r??? thanks in advance

The k20a3 flywheel isn't compatible with aftermarket clutches. Whatever clutch is in it now should work fine with an a2 transmission.

 

i have a stage 4 competition clutch in the a3 right now so it should work fine with the a2 tranny correct?

 

all of the k clutches are the same... you'll be fine

A3 flywheel and clutch need to be he same
K20a flywheel and clutch need to be the same

You can use. K20a3 flywheel on the k20a k20a2 crank or vice versa

 

no the a3 anf the base modle rsx are compatible but theres no point in investing money for labor and having down time in replacing it with an a3. if you really are running a type r you should try to upgrade the trans is possible the a3 trans is trash. and not all k clutches are the sam either or compatable in his case he can only use the base mode rsx other than the a3

 

honsetly the best thing for you to do is upgrade to a rsx-s flywheel either oem or lightened and use the rsx-s clutch way better than the a3 and base modle. !!!!!!!!!
