97 CX manual conversion/wiring
ok, I KNOW that you are all going to tell me to do research, but I don't have time to sit here and search and read for hours. I have done some searching but can't find a straight answer.
I have a 97 CX auto that I am converting to Man, with an OBD1 B18B1 w/ ex engine harness. Eventually I want to convert everything to manual, doors, mirrors and all that good stuff.
So Instead of cutting and splicing wires, would it be much easier to just get an EX cabin/floor harness? And does that have all the plugs and everything I would need to be able to just put the power doors on and just plug in and go? As well as the fuse box, relays and all that stuff?

If by manual windows/locks you meant power than yes. get a '96 - '98 EX cabin harness, door harnesses and engine harnesses. Ideally get it from a 5 speed car and you wont need to do any additional wiring for the auto to manual swap.

I know on the 5th gen the plug for the auto shifter is part of the dash harness. You can just connect two wires to make the car think it's in park all the time, or wire up a clutch interlock switch. The interlock box just unplugs and your key can come out of the ignition anytime you want.
To convert to manual windows and locks etc, just remove the power parts and bolt in the manual ones and covers. I'm curious what the weight savings really is for the power window regulator compared to the manual regulator.

yes the floor harness is different between manual windows, mirrors, locks and one with power. also if you have a rear wiper you will have to add the wire for it to the coupe harness
