its a 96 ex coupe am doing a z6 swap thats all i could find cheap.

but heres my big problem i gat a obd2a ex harness great works perfect for my car but when i gat home i looked at it. it had some kind of mangment piggy back that was wired and cut so i took all the tape off and took all the piggy back wires out and color matched the rest. i thought i was done but there was 2 wires hooked up to each other that have no were else to go and there not oem for sure.

c 21 baro out- barometric sensor,out --- it suppose to be light green its green with a white stripe

its hooked up to

d15 ptank- fuel tank pressure sensor--- suppose to light green its brown


am going to running a obd1 p28 ecu for now but will hope to make it run a p2p in the future i just want to get all the wire done right 1st then work on the obd2 things



i known its alot but it will help me out alot guys thank you in advance

 

in short why is c21 and d15 on a obd2a harness

 

For an OBD2a ECU, nothing should pin to C21 and the Lt Grn wire from the fuel tank pressure sensor pins to D15.

The Brn wire at D15 may be for the service connector. It pins to C7.

The Grn/Wht wire at C21 possibly should pin to D5 or D12.

 

Also keep the P28, its made to run the Z6.

 

that does make sense because the colors match but my thing is i looked at the harness all the way trow and c7,d5,d12 all look stock like nothing has been cut or hacked at all am wondering should i tap into them or just separte the c21 from d15 and just tape them up

or should i tap c21 into d5 or d12 and d15 tap that into c7


please help am suppose to do the swap sunday ps i did the crank angle trick in case am forced by the state of IL to use a obd2a ecu

 

 

this is the one i was using and now that i see yours it makes sense i think they pinned some thing in c21 but i still can't figure were d15 goes because the car does come with a y8 orginally but i have no were to but them i am worried beacuse it says
fuel tank pressure but i just gat my jumper harness and it has no pins to neith c21 or d15 but i still want to know what to do with them because i will have to run a obd2a ecu because IL is gay and makes you take a obd scan for emissions

i really want to know because i know i will have to go obd2a asap i am running obd2a injecters and dizzy i already did the crank angle senser trick i was wondering what else besides the 2nd o2 do i need to do i have read about the knock sensor and a senser that goes on top of the manifold by the injector but i dont know what else that you guys in advance
