Default 90 civic dies out randomly

hey i have just bought a ef sedan. it has a d16a6 in it with a whole bunch of bolt ons. i have searched for a long time and could not find a thread on here that matched what is going on with my car.
my car will start after about 3 tries. it will idle kinda rough but nothing too major.
but when i drive the car, it will run fine for about 100 yards then it will die out on me. i can hold my foot on the gas pedal, and the car will still die out. i have to start my car again and drive it another 100 yards and it will die out.
when the car is warmed up and in idle. if i press the gas, the revs will drop.
have no idea what is wrong with this.
any help will be very appreciated thank you!

Does it happen when it's hot outside or after driving the car for a while? Common problem would be main relay, igniter(icm) or ignition coil. Do you hear fuel pump prime when you turn key on after it die? any code when it die? rpm gauge bouncing all over the place? rpm gauge move when you try to crank it?

do a compression test, sounds like you could have a bad motor

check the grounds on the thermostat housing and inner fenders and battery of coarse. Fuel pump relays are 15$ I would replace it regardless as they are a known problem as they age I had the same simtoms and it was a fuel pump relay

^^^is the fuel pump relay the same as the "main relay" also there is no ground on the thermostat housing. my battery is relocated to the rear, but the grounds are good.
also the fuel pump relay is $60 i dont know if i want to spend that much unless it is proven that, that is the problem
thank you for your in put though.
yall think it could be my TPS? i also have an aftermarket fuel pressure regulator, could that be a reason? thanks guys

Its sounds like its lagging power. probly maybe not fully sure out of time just a bit. Check spark plugs for right gaping, wires. Main relay get 1 from junk yard or a friend with another honda just to see if its that. Fuel filter? Check n see if u have any fuel problems or spark problems. It could be a lot of things just got to find out which 1 it is.

definatly sounds like either a fuel or spark problem could have a bad dizzy or one on it way out also like mentioned could be main relay could be the pump about to give out. also has the fuel filter been changed if not change it. but i would say bad ignitor or coil if the fuel system checks out.

Why did you have to get rid of your thermostat ground when you moved your battery to the trunk? I've kept mine...
